1st ANNUAL NICOLE MCCARTY MEMORIAL WALK-A-THON SEPTEMBER 17, 2005

Who:

You, your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors who want to help raise funds for the Nicole McCarty Memorial Fund in the memory of Nicole.

 Where/What:

Centreville H.S. Track – A walk-a-thon to benefit the Nicole McCarty Memorial Fund.

 Why:

The NMMF is a Non-Profit, Tax Deductible Corporation set up to give out college scholarships to graduating Seniors in Nicole’s honor.  We gave out $2,500.00 in scholarships this past June to three Centreville High School Seniors.  The money raised will also help support the Northern Virginia Yellow Ribbon Chapter for Suicide Prevention and Awareness.

1. Fill out the registration form

   OR:  Register the day of event from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
   
   NOTE: A minimum total of $25.00 in donations is required to participate in the walk-a-thon.

NICOLE MCCARTY MEMORIAL FUND TENNIS TOURNAMENT MAY 13-15, 2005

My name is Dan McNiel and Nicole was my cousin. We lost her on March 22, just two days after her 16th birthday. It has been tough to deal with her loss at such a young age. We are trying to turn this tragedy into something to help others and this tournament we have set up is the first step. The family has started a memorial fund that will give out scholarships to graduating seniors in the area. The fund will also go to support the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention and Awareness Program. We are in the process of setting up the Northern Virginia Chapter of Yellow Ribbon and we will work with individuals and schools to give seminars and guidance to those in need.

We are holding a tennis tournament in Ashburn Farm, Virginia May 13-15 to benefit the Nicole McCarty Memorial Fund. There will be a silent auction for anyone to participate in and prizes for the tournament winners. Come out, play some tennis and raise some money for the memorial fund.
