
Two separate scholarship programs have been established in memory of Nicole. They are the Nicole Marie McCarty Scholarship and the Nicole Marie McCarty Softball Scholarship for a Graduating Senior's at Centreville High School where she attended school.

GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP ADMINISTRATION
Nicole McCarty was a student at Centreville High School when she died March 22nd 2005. To honor her memory, family and friends established a memorial fund to help graduates of Centreville High School to continue their education.
This is the Fourth year of the Nicole Marie McCarty Scholarship, which will give out a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior that best exemplifies Nicole’s spirit and qualities.
Each applicant for the Nicole Marie McCarty Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1. Have completed two full years at Centreville High School.
2. Have been accepted at an accredited four-year college or university.
3. Have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better by the end of the first semester of their senior year.
4. Have participated actively each year in one or more school-sponsored extra-curricular activities for a minimum of two years.
5. Have demonstrated school spirit, sportsmanship, fellowship, good citizenship, and a concern for fellow students.
In addition to the criteria listed above, positive consideration shall be given to those applicants who demonstrate citizenship, service, and/or leadership within the community. These qualities and/or accomplishments will enhance an applicants standing in the evaluation process.

The scholarship will go to the student-athlete that best exemplifies Nicole’s spirit and qualities.
Each applicant for the Nicole Marie McCarty Softball Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1. Have completed two full years at Centreville High School.
2. Have been accepted at an accredited four-year college or university.
3. Have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better by the end of the first semester of their senior year.

6. Competed on the Centreville High School JV/Varsity Softball team a minimum of one year.
